Every year, around 770,000 people work in the Netherlands as temporary workers. That's almost 1 in 12 workers! Strangely enough, many of those temporary workers miss opportunities to further develop themselves.
They are often focused on the present: staying healthy, working safely and finding a pleasant place to work. The idea of continuing to grow or retrain often feels like a thing of the future. Or simply as something unattainable. Because who pays for these training courses and courses? What she does like is the opportunity to earn more by learning and growing.
Doorzaam offers exactly that support. From a budget for training and personal coaching to career advice and help with financial matters. However, not enough temporary workers know that these options exist. The free allowances are ready, but the question is: how do we ensure that more temporary workers hear about this? And more importantly, that they seize the opportunities to move forward and develop yourself on and on?
a contemporary identity
To approach the temporary worker directly, Doorzaam asked them to examine their current identity. Not surprising: because it's important to rethink how you're going to make that connection with people you didn't speak to directly before. After all, it's no longer just about the temporary employment agencies, but about reaching out to the temporary worker himself. People who are looking for growth, security and opportunities to move forward. In their private life, but also at work.
Directly addressing the temporary worker is therefore the core of the new website to be developed. That while we don't lose sight of what was already there. The circles remain recognisable and symbolize growth and cooperation. This is also reflected in the new font, with subtle adjustments that reflect progress. This way, we don't just talk about development, we show it.
A simple image can tell a deep story. With a 'snap-shot' style, we capture moments from the daily lives of temporary workers. Those real, spontaneous images bring their story to life. On the other hand, subtle illustrations provide space for personal interpretation, so that air is created in the design language.
reaching the right people
To reach temporary workers, we use a targeted digital strategy. We attract their attention with practical and visually appealing landing pages and articles that are relevant to temporary workers. These articles can always be linked back to the pillars of Doorzaam: working vitally, safely and skillfully. From various points, we aim to easily apply for compensation.
Stories from others inspire and connect, that's why we've given existing content, such as testimonial videos, an improved look. In addition, we've given existing content, such as testimonial videos, a new look.
On a technical level, we also helped Doorzaam with a component-based design. This way, the website can grow with you and easily respond to new needs, without unnecessary development time.

After reaching the right people, we provide people with the tools to find the right compensation by means of a 1-minute quiz.
from launch to automation
After applying for compensation, it is of course important that temporary workers actually make use of it. With the increasing demand for compensation and to support the Office team, the automation system plays a crucial role. By automating tasks, temporary workers are not only better helped, but also relieves the internal team.
The system automatically checks whether a temporary worker has already applied for compensation. This prevents someone, for example, from applying for a training voucher and a development budget at the same time.
Every temporary worker has their own preference for how and when they want to receive information. In this way, each temporary worker gets exactly the updates in the way that is most comfortable for them. When an application is approved or rejected, the system responds immediately. This prevents ambiguity and ensures that the temporary worker always knows where he or she stands.
If a temporary worker does not take action within a certain period of time, the system automatically sends a reminder. The flow is controlled by the information in the database: for example, whether documents have already been uploaded or whether a request has been stopped for more than a few days. This way, requests don't stick around and the process keeps moving, without the Office team having to go after everyone themselves.
